5.2 - CHECKING THE PRESENCE AND
EFFICIENCY OF PROTECTIONS AND
SAFETY DEVICES
MAIN FEATURES OF THE TOOLS WHICH CAN
BE INSTALLED IN THE MACHINE
The machine is supplied with a plate with 6/8 mm
diameter holes, in order to comply with legislation
in force. For different processing operations it is
however possible to fit drilled plates with smaller
diameter holes, compared to the one supplied by
the manufacturing company, without modifying the
operating performance of the machine.
La F.A.C.E.M. SpA - TRE SPADE - shall not be
responsible for any injuries resulting from the use
- on the "ELECTRIC MEAT MINCER" machine - of
plates with holes more than 8 mm in diameter and
less than 5 mm thick, easily available on the market,
as they can be used on manual meat mincers.
With the use of these plates, the safety parameters
provided for by the standards in force are no longer
respected (unless adopting specific protections to
bring the safety measures within the required limits)
(see fig. 5).

Visual inspection. Before each machine work
shift, check that the loading hopper is attached to
the mincing body, and that the hand protection
crossbeam is also attached to the hopper.
5.3 - CHECKING MAGNETIC RESET
SWITCH OPERATION
With the machine connected to the mains and after
pressing the start button, check the power supply
of the electric motor when the auger starts turning.
NOTE
With the start button deactivated, the auger must not
turn. In the event of a power failure and subsequent
restoring, the electric motor must not start. To check
this condition, simply connect the plug to the power
socket, press the start button, disconnect the plug
from the socket: when pluggi g it back the motor
must not be powered.
5.4 - START-UP
Connect the cable to the power socket, press the
"I" button.
