Deburr all drill holes that have been made in the sheet metal and apply rust-protection.
Place cable sleeves in all sharp edged ducts.
Attaching the camera and camera guard
Push the camera into the camera bracket (fig. g, page 8).
Caution!
a
Only use the screws supplied to mount the camera in the camera bracket. Long-
er screws will damage the camera.
Secure the camera loosely with the two screws M3 x 6 mm in the middle threaded drill
holes (fig. g, page 8).
The camera is now centred.
Align the camera so that the lens is at an angle of approx. 50° to the perpendicular axis
of the vehicle (fig. i, page 8).
Caution!
a
Never mount the camera without the additional camera guard. To mount the
camera guard, only use the supplied M3 x 8 mm screws. Longer screws will
damage the camera.
Push the camera guard (fig. h, page 8) over the camera in such a way that the central
drill holes slide over both screw heads and the slots are aligned with those of the cam-
era bracket.
You can now see the two threaded drill holes for securing the camera guard and the
camera bracket.
Secure the camera guard with the four M3 x 8 mm screws in the slots (fig. h, page 8).
Note
I
The six screws are only tightened when you have aligned the camera (see chap-
ter "Setting the camera" on page 44).
Note
I
We recommend greasing the threads of the bolts to prevent corrosion.
