8.4 PROBLEM – THE REEL EDGE IS NOT FED
Likely causes
The edge does not slide due to:
1 - Incorrect board insertion.
2 - A stuck edge.
3- The edge reaches the gluing roller later than the board.
Solutions
1 - The board must be inserted in the machine, keeping it
against the guide A (Fig. 80) and guiding it manually until the
feeder B transports it by itself.
2 - Make sure that the edge can slide freely along the path,
and that it remains in the guide. Make sure that the edge has

a clearance of approximately 0.5 mm in the intake guide D
(Fig. 81) and in the edge guide C.
3 - Set the edge intake speed, adjusting it with the nut E (Fig.
81). (See section 5.2.4).
