Risk of Injury
It is important to plan ahead for travel and other
situations in which you may not have access to additional
oxygen or power supplies. To prevent injury from
oxygen deprivation:
– Carry supplemental batteries with you.
– Stow the concentrator properly during travel. For
proper storage instructions when travelling refer to
the travel guide.
– Obtain and carry a licensed physician's signed
statement on a standard form (p/n 1154266), the
doctor's letterhead, or an airline-approved form
during travel.

To prevent injury or damage from cord misuse:
– DO NOT move or relocate concentrator by pulling
on the cord.
– DO NOT use extension cords with AC power
adapters provided.
– Properly store and position electrical cords and/or
tubing to prevent a tripping hazard.

To prevent injury or damage from misuse:
– NEVER leave concentrator unattended when plugged
in.
– Make sure concentrator is off when not in use.
– Outdoor use MUST be conducted with internal or
supplemental battery power only.

To prevent injury or damage during use:
– If you feel ill or uncomfortable, or if the concentrator
does not signal an oxygen pulse and you are unable
to hear and/or feel the oxygen pulse, consult
your equipment provider and/or your physician
IMMEDIATELY.
– For optimum performance, Invacare recommends that
each concentrator be on and running for a minimum
of 30 minutes. Shorter periods of operation may
reduce maximum product life.
– For maximum oxygen output, the concentrator should
be used in an upright position.
– The XPO
concentrator cannot be used in conjunction

with PAP, Bi-Level, mechanical ventilator or other
such devices.
