• A fllse in your home may be blown or the circuit breaker tripped.
• The oven controls are not properly set.

If necessary, allow the oven to
cool;
then open the door.
• Make sure the O_n Mode knob is set to BAKEand the Temperature knob
is set to a temperature.
• The light bulb is defectixe. Replace the bulb.
• The oven is self:cleaning or the Sabbath feature is set. The ox>n lights do
not come on during self:cleaning or if the Sabbath feature is set.
• The oven controls are improperly set. See the Bddng or Roasting" section.
• Oxen not preheated %r a long enough time (use approximamly 10 to 15
minutes).
• Incorrect cook_tre or cook_ue
of improper size being used. See the P(m
placement section.
• Racks in the wrong position. See the Baking or Roastingsection.
• Use a foil tent to slow down browning during roasting.
• Oven thermostat needs adjustment. See the Oven tlmmost(_tadjustment
section.
• This model is designed %r closed door broiling only. Close the doo_: Ahxvty's
broil with the door closed.
• The oven controls are not set at BROIL. See the Bmilingsection.
• The probe is plugged into the outlet in the oven. Remove the probe fiom
the oven.
• hnproper rack position being used.
• Food is being cooked in a hot pan. Use the broiling pan and grid that came
with your oven.
• Cook,xvue is not suimd tbr broiling. Use the broiling pan and grkt that came
with your oven.
• Ahmfinum foil used on the broiling pan and grkt has not been fitmd
properly and slit as recommended.
• In some areas the power (voltage) m W be low. Preheat the broil element
tbr approximately l0 to 15 minutes.
• The oven temperature is too high to set a self:clean operation.
Allow the oxen to cool below the locking temperature and reset the
controls.
• The controls are not properly set. See the Se_:Cle(n_ing Oven section.
• This is normal. This is the sound of the metal beating and cooling
during both the cooking and cleaning flmctions.
• Excessive soil. Turn the Oven Mode and the Temperature knobs
to OFE Open the win(to_:s to rkt the room of smoke. \_hit until the locked
door indicator light goes off Wipe up excess soil and reset the clean cycle.
• The oven was heavily soiled. Clean up hea_3.' s pillox_rs be%re starting
the clean cycle. Heavily soiled ovens may'need to self:clean again.
• Oven is connected to a 208V electrical suppl> Set your cleaning
time tbr 5 hours.
• The oven controls are not properly set. See the Se_:Cleaning" O ven section.
• The racks were cleaned in the self:clean cycle and now need periodic
lubrication.
