Verify that the HTL frame is correctly centred under the
vehicle chassis and body [See Fig. 5.28].
Straighten the slide plates, and make sure they stand per-
pendicular to the HTL frame [See Fig. 5.29].
Fasten the M24 locking nuts [See Fig 5.30]. Make sure
that:
1. the front brackets sit flush with the front side of the lift
frame
2. the upper and lower bolts are fastened gradually and
in alternating order
3. the bolts are fastened with a torque wrench to the re-
quired Nm setting [see annex].
For all HTL ≥ 2500kg, and / or platform depths
≥ 2000mm, weld the mounting plates to the
HTL frame by 8mm surround weld over the top,
rear and bottom face of the frame [See Fig.
5.31].
The torque fastenings of all bolts should be
checked after completion of the compulsory
static and dynamic weight tests at the end of
the fitting process, and retightened if required.
