2 - SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Use the machine only for the jobs described in "Product Description". This machine, if used improperly, may be
dangerous.
Wear heat-resistant gloves when working on the engine and the compressor head block.

2.2 Lifting procedures

Make sure the lifting equipment has an adequate capacity and is in good working order (for the machine weight, refer to
"Specifications").
Never stand or pass under the machine while it is being lifted or handled.
Use forks which are long and wide enough so as to prevent the load from overturning.

2.3 Installation

Unless you are well trained and authorised, do not use or make adjustments to the instruments and control devices the
machine is provided with.
IMPORTANT!
The packing materials must be disposed of carefully in compliance with current environment protection regulations.

2.4 Use

WARNING!
The machine has no brakes, therefore make sure it is in a safe and stable position at all times. At the end of the working
day always empty the air tank.
When using the machine, the slope inclination shall not be superior to 20%, as it may cause the engine and compressor
break.
Do not touch the head (B) and the hydraulic hose of the compressor (33) or the muffler (5) and the exhaust pipe of the engine,
as these parts reach a very high temperature during operation and keep hot for a long time after stopping the machine.
Do not leave any flammable materials on or near the compressor head block (B) and the engine (A).
NOTE
At the end of every working day, always empty the air tank (chapter 5.1.2).

2.5 Maintenance

WARNING!
Before performing any maintenance operations or adjustments on the mechanical parts of the machine, put on a helmet,
heavy-duty work shoes, gloves and goggles. Then empty the air tank by using the valve (26) and stop the engine (chapter
4.6).
Routine maintenance and repairs can be carried out only by an operator with the necessary physical and intellectual quali-
fications.
Special maintenance and repairs can be carried out only by a service mechanic.
Keep bystanders away when servicing or repairing the machine.
Only service mechanics are authorized to inactivate the safety devices provided on the machine, when maintenance is to
be performed. It is their responsibility to safeguard the operators and the machine. The safety devices should be activated as
soon as maintenance work has been completed.
All maintenance procedures not dealt with in this manual are to be performed at Authorised Service Points.
When maintenance or repairs have been completed, the machine can be started again only if duly authorized by the service
mechanic. The service mechanic must make sure:
- work has been completed
- the machine runs in a trouble-free manner
- the safety devices are activated
- no one is working on the machine.
