- USING THE MOTORCOMPRESSOR

WARNING!
In the list in par. 3.7 there is the indication of the number of photo referring to the motorcompressor parts quoted in the text.

4.1 Controls

Starter (gasoline version only) (13): to be operated before starting the engine
Engine pull-cord starter (38): pull it to start the engine
Fuel cock (gasoline version only) (37): open it before starting the engine, close after stopping the engine
ON/OFF switch (gasoline engines only) (12): turn it to the ON position to start the engine; turn it to the OFF position to stop
the engine
Accelerator lever (diesel version only) (40): set by the manufacturer
Switch lever (diesel version only) (18): used to stop the engine
Motorcompressor acceleration lever (35): operates to move the motorcompressor forward. It can reach a max. speed of 3
km/h. Available only for the Models Falcon 520 and 820, with gasoline or diesel engine.

4.2 Tools connections

Check that the couplings (21) and the connections are free from dirt
Connect the tool hoses to the quick couplings (21).

4.3 Motorcompressor running-in procedures

WARNING!
When use the compressor for the first time, please follow the instructions for an adequate running-in:
a)
Open the exhaust valve of the tank
b)
Start the compressor and make it idle for about 30 minutes
c)
Close the exhaust valve of the tank.

4.4 Starting the motorcompressor

WARNING!
With the motorcompressor working, the machine should not travel distances up, down or across gradients greater than
20%. Higher gradients may cause the engine and the motorcompressor to break.
-
Make sure all the safety covers on the moving parts are firmly secured in place.
-
The machine has no brakes. It must be placed in a safe and stable position.
Perform the following procedures in the order given:
-
fill the fuel tank (7) taking care to clean up any spilled fuel so as to prevent from spontaneous combustion
-
empty the air tank and leave the valve (26) open
-
open the fuel tank cock (37) (gasoline version only)
-
if the engine is cold, push the lever (13) to the left (gasoline version only)
-
pull the cord starter (38)
-
A few seconds after the engine has started up, push the lever (13) to the central position and then gradually to the right
(gasoline version only)
-
close the exhaust valve (26) on the air tank.
When the compressor has filled the tank and the pilot valve (27) starts letting compressed air out, check that:
-
the operating pressure indicated by the gauge (11) is as required
-
the oil used to lubricate the equipment flows regularly. Observe the lubricator (9).
