Single control concept
Operational design with a single control has been created to simplify parameter modification. You no longer
have to remember complex sequences for entering data, now just press and turn.
The control switch has different functions:
(fixed parameter pilot), in order to modify the parameter value (parameter pilot flashing) or to select
the operational mode. Do turn sharply or forcefully.
modification or validate a working mode.
To further facilitate use, the equipment will always activate the modification of parameter I
when welding has started or after a period when the control has not been used.

Control panel

The components on the front panel are divided into two sections (Fig. 7 and 10):

Screen
The equipment screen shows the parameter selected or equipment problems at all times. The indication of the

Parameters cannot be modified if the equipment indicates a problem.
Select a problem
Parameter selection is made by simply turning the switch to the right or left, do not move the switch sharply,
turn it smoothly to note the positions.
If the control is not touched for several seconds or if welding has begun, the equipment will automatically

To modify a parameter
Once the parameter required has been selected (Fig. 7), press the control switch for a short time to activate the
parameter modification mode (Fig. 7) indicated by the flashing of pilot light of the selected parameter.
In this position you can increase or reduce the value of a parameter by simply turning the switch (see Fig. 9).
Once the value desired has been set, press for a short time to save the modified value (see Fig. 9). The pilot of
the parameter will stop flashing.
Select a working mode
1 - Press the switch for 2-3 seconds. (Fig. 10).
The display screen will then show --- (Fig. 11), and the operation pilot indicator will flash, other indicators
will remain off.
2 - Turn the switch to the left or right to choose the required working mode.
In the ICON-1890VRD and ICON-2060PRO VRD models the MMA
modes may be selected (Fig. 12).
3 - On ending the selection of the working mode press the switch for a short period to accept the
modifications. The indicator for the chosen mode will stop flashing and the indicators to the right will flash
(Fig. 13).
