Preparation for use
Required tools: Adhesive tape for trial fitting, adhesive for definitive fitting (supplied with the heel wedges)
>
1) NOTICE! To avoid damaging the prosthetic foot, do not pull the attachment spring and heel spring
apart.
Slide the heel wedge into position between the attachment spring and heel spring.
2) Fitting:
Secure the heel wedge with adhesive tape.
3) Definitive mounting:
Apply a drop of the adhesive respectively to the heel spring and attachment spring.
Slide the heel wedge into position between the attachment spring and heel spring, and hold it for about 10
seconds until the adhesive sets.
Wipe off the excess adhesive.

5.2 Adjusting the prosthetic foot

After completion of the dynamic trial fitting, the powered push-off of the prosthetic foot and the resistance at heel­
strike are set. To do so, turn on the prosthetic foot and connect it to the Personal Bionics Tuning Application.

5.2.1 Connecting to the Personal Bionics Tuning Application

INFORMATION
The Bluetooth ID of the prosthetic foot is its serial number. Remove the battery from the prosthetic foot to see the
label with the serial number.

Prerequisite: The prosthetic foot is not under load.
>
1) Press the button on the battery for 3 seconds.
→ The green LED on the battery lights up. The prosthetic foot performs a calibration.
A single, high beep is emitted and the prosthetic foot vibrates briefly when the cal­
ibration has been completed.
2) If a number of soft beeps is emitted, the calibration has failed. Bring the prosthet­
ic foot to plantar flexion until the calibration is completed.
Prerequisite: The prosthetic foot has been switched on and successfully calibrated.

Prerequisite: Bluetooth is activated on the tablet (Settings menu).

1) Start the Personal Bionics Tuning Application and enter the password. The default
password is "1234" and can be replaced with your own password.
→ A list of the prosthetic feet that are in range is displayed.
2) Select and tap the prosthetic foot you want to work with in the list of serial numbers.
3) When the prosthetic foot is connected for the first time: The prosthetic foot
requests a link to the tablet. Enter the PIN "0000" and tap OK.
→ The interface for prosthetic foot settings is displayed.
