Positioning the probe - electrode
If in the previous check the position of the probe or electrode was
not correct, remove the screw 1)(Fig. 14) extract the inner part
2)(Fig. 14) of the head, and adjust them.
Do not rotate the probe, leave it as in (Fig. 15);
since if it is located too close to the ignition elec-
trode, the control box amplifier may be damaged.
CAUTION
5.8
Combustion head adjustment
At this stage of installation the blast tube and the pipe coupling
are secured to the boiler as shown in A)(Fig. 16).
Therefore the adjustment of the combustion head is particularly
easy, an adjustment that depends solely on the maximum power
of the burner.
Therefore, this value must be set before adjusting the combus-
tion head.
Two adjustments of the head are foreseen:
–
the air R1 ( A , Fig. 16)
–
the gas/air R2 ( B , Fig. 16)
In the diagram of (Fig. 17), find the notch at which both the air
and gas should be adjusted.
5.8.1
Air adjustment
Rotate the screw 4)(Fig. 16) until the notch you have found cor-
responds with the front surface 5)(Fig. 16) of the flange.
To facilitate the adjustment, loosen the screw 6)
(Fig. 16), adjust, then block.
