E.
Remove pipe plug from engine coolant manifold and install
Thermal Switch (See Fig. 3).
FIGURE 3
Locate Thermal Switch as close to engine coolant thermostat as
possible. Thermal Switch setting should engage Fan Clutch at least
10° higher than engine thermostat setting.
F.
Mount Solenoid Valve/Filter in an upright position (filter drain
pointing down), on either the vehicle's fire wall or radiator
support, in an area where the Solenoid Valve/Filter will not
be subjected to engine heat, vibration or road dirt.
G.
Connect air hose from vehicle's air supply to air filter inlet
port (See Fig. 4).
Vehicle's air supply must be clean (free of moisture and oil).
H.
Check for proper air pressure to the Fan Clutch.
To assure maximum horsepower carrying capacity of the Fan Clutch
and to prevent damage to the Fan Clutch, there must be an operating
pressure of 90 to 120 PSI to the Fan Clutch upon engagement.
I.
Connect air hose from Solenoid Valve/Filter outlet port to
Fan Clutch air inlet port (See Fig. 4).
