• Check that the correct nozzles are fitted. Check the
designation on the fitted nozzles with those listed in
Table 9.2 (gas values with reference to the set gas
type) in section 9, technical data. You may have to
remove the burner, see 7.2.
• If the nozzles are not the cause of the deviation, notify
customer service. Do not start up the appliance.
• Put the appliance out of operation.

Checking the function of the appliance

• Check that the appliance functions during operation
as described in the operating manual.
• Check the appliance for leaking water or gas.
• Check that the flue exits properly at the flow cutout,
for example using a hygrometer.
• Check that the flue gas sensor is working properly, see
5.3.1.
• Always note the appliance type and the gas type used
in Table 9.2, with reference to the set gas type in sec-
tion 9, technical data.
• Put the housing back on the appliance.

Handing over to the owner

Note
When you have finished the installation, attach
the sticker supplied (835593) to the appliance
in the user's language.
The owner of the appliance must be instructed on the
function and operation of his gas instantaneous water
heater.
• Show the customer how to use the appliance. Go
through the operating manual with him and answer
any questions he has.
• Hand over any instruction manuals meant for him, as
well as the appliance documents.
• Tell the owner that you have noted the appliance type
and the gas type used in Table 9.2, with reference to
the set gas type in section 9, technical data.
• Tell the owner about any measures taken to ensure
the combustion air supply and flue gas extraction,
making it very clear that they may not be altered.
• Draw special attention to the safety instructions which
the owner must follow.
• Instruct the owner on the need for regular inspection
and maintenance of the system. Recommend that he
signs an inspection and maintenance contract.
• Tell the owner to keep the instruction manuals near
the gas instantaneous water heater.
• Make it very clear to the owner that any changes to
the room where the appliance is installed may only be
made after consulting a specialist company.

Adapting to a different type of gas

Danger!
Faulty combustion can cause lethal levels of
carbon monoxide.
Only convert the appliance top a different type
of gas using the conversion kits supplied by the
manufacturer.

Unsuitable burner nozzles can cause malfunc-
tions and lethal gas leaks.
Only convert the appliance top a different type
of gas using the conversion kits supplied by the
manufacturer.
If the type of gas changes, the appliance must be con-
verted to the available gas type. Certain parts of the
appliance must be modified or replaced.
These modifications and the new settings they require
may only be carried out by a qualified engineer in
accordance with the applicable national standards.
You can easily perform the modification if you follow the
instructions and use the gas conversion kits supplied by
Vaillant.
