4 Operation
Each time you press the piezo ignition a single spark is
generated.
The pilot flame is ignited. You can see the pilot flame
through the sight hole when it is lit.
In order to safely light the pilot flame, it is important to
keep the power switch in the ignition position. If the
appliance has not been in use for a long period, you may
have to repeat the ignition procedure due to air in the
ignition gas pipe.
• With the pilot flame lit, hold the power switch (6) in
this position for another 10 to 15 seconds.

4.3.2 Standby mode

• Let go of the power switch (6) and turn it anticlock-
wise from the ignition position
tion ... (maximum - minimum power).
The pilot flame remains lit. In standby mode, the gas
instantaneous water heater starts automatically when
you turn on a hot water tap.

Hot water generation

4.4.1 Drawing hot water

Danger!
Risk of scalding.
The water coming out of the tap can be very
hot.
• If you open the hot water tap anticlockwise at the
extraction point, such as the wash basin or sink, the
gas instantaneous water heater starts up automatical-
ly and provides hot water.
Note!
If the gas instantaneous water heater does not
start when you turn on the tap, check that the
shut-off valve fitted in front of the tap is com-
pletely open.

to the standby posi-
Note!
The strainer (rose) in the tap fitting may be
clogged. You can take out the rose to clean it. If
it is clogged with lime scale, we recommend
descaling the rose with a decalcifier such as
vinegar.
• The gas instantaneous water heater stops automati-
cally when you turn off the hot water tap.

4.4.2 Adjusting the water temperature

Fig. 4.5 Setting the water temperature
The appliance provides water at a constant temperature,
regardless of the quantity drawn and the cold water
intake temperature.
Use the temperature selector (1) to vary the water tem-
perature:
• Turn the temperature selector clockwise
increase the temperature.
• Turn the temperature selector anticlockwise
reduce the temperature.
You can also alter the water temperature when drawing
hot water.
The temperature selector regulates the volume of cold
tap water flowing through the appliance. The greater the
water volume, the lower the exit temperature.
4.5

Performance

4.5.1 Performance preselection

The power switch can be used to preselect the perform-
ance in ten levels between 50% and 100% of the rated
heating output.
By reducing the performance of the appliance and
adapting it to the level you actually require, you can
reduce the exit temperature and save energy.
