Use only original replacement filters, because only they guarantee the necessary
separation rate and are matched to the filter equipment and its performance
characteristics.
• Switch off the SmartMaster at the device main switch, Illustration 1, Item 6.
• Prevent unintentional restarting by unplugging the device.
• Loosen the clamp fasteners, Item 2, and open the maintenance door, Item 3
• Lift the main filter (Illustration 5, Item 5.3) slightly using the handle at the front
to release the seal from the sealing surface and pull it a short way towards
you.
• At the rear, the main filter slides on side-mounted bolts on guide profiles which
causes it to be lifted. This way the seal is not damaged even in the rear area,
see Illustration 6.
• Then grasp the filter with your free hand by its rear wall. In this manner, lift it
with both hands out of the device and put it on a clean, flat work table.
• Remove the prefilter carefully from the main filter in order to stir up as little
dust as possible.
• The prefilter cassette has lugs at the top which allow you to lift it out of the
main filter.
• Place the old filter in a plastic bag and seal it, for instance, with cable ties.
Suitable plastic bags are available from KEMPER (Art. No. 119 0746).
• Replace each of the filter cartridges that need changing with new ones.
• When doing so, take extra care with the main filter. Only an undamaged seal
on the bottom of the main filter ensures the high separation rate of the device.
• Lift the main filter (now refitted with prefilter cassette and prefilter) with one
hand on the back wall and the other on the handle on the front and place it in
the filter unit with the side bolts resting on the guide profiles.
• While keeping the front end of the filter raised, push it back into the device
until it clicks into place at the back.
• Hinge the maintenance door back up and close the clamp fasteners.
• Plug the power cable back into the socket and turn on the device. The green
power indicator light should come on and show the device is running normally.
• Dispose of the used filters according to official regulations. For this purpose,
the appropriate waste code can be obtained from the local waste disposal
company.
• Finally, the maintenance area is to be cleaned, for example with an industrial
vacuum cleaner for dust class "H".
