If you are using a TRC brand remote
control, make sure you have the
correct DCI-1 and DCI-2 cables to
attach it to the ET Water controller.
The DCI-1cable attaches directly to
the gold-colored 6-pin connector on
the upper right corner of the base
module, while the DCI-2 allows the
portable receiver to attach to the
cables outside the controller. If you
are installing a permanent remote
control receiver card,
the cable will already
be attached to the
receiver card.
Adding more stations (installing expansion modules)
You may increase the number of your watering stations by purchasing and installing
additional expansion modules. Each module can operate up to 8 valves. (Call ET Water
Sales at 800-438-3400 to purchase additional modules.)
Install the modules as follows:
• Label the new stations using the labels provided.
• Turn off the power to the controller by unplugging the unit or by removing the red-yellow-
green cables connected from the transformer to the base module
• Plug the new expansion module into the last module already in place (i.e., immediately to
the right of the existing module). Secure it in place with the 3 screws provided.
• Power up the controller by plugging the unit back in or by reapplying the red-yellow-green
connector
• Press ENTER on the front panel to confirm the new module count.
• Connect the valve wiring to the new module, and execute a manual watering of the
new stations to confirm that the wiring and solenoids are in proper working condition.
• Access your account on the ET Water website and enter the landscape profiles for your
new stations.
