Now the joint can be flexed up to the stop. Du-
ring flexion, the safety bolt automatically returns
to its initial position with an audible click, so that
the sitting joint will be locked again during sub-
sequent extension.
To verify the correct width of the pelvic tube, hold
the joint system over the fabricated pelvic module
and check the clear width (allow room for pad-
ding, etc.).
The pelvic tube may be shortened if necessary
(possibly after trial fitting).
Simply cut the tube to the desired length.
Deburr the end of the tube.
INFORMATION
Important information for alignment of the orthosis:
During alignment of the orthosis, the mechanical
axis of the sitting joint (S) must be lined up with the
anatomical hip rotation point.
This will ensure the most appropriate physiological
movement due to the oblique axis of the walking
joint (G).
