5.4 Following treatment
1. Thoroughly dry all parts following the
hygiene treatment.
2. Repeat the hygiene treatment if
required.
3. Perform a function check.
4. Reassemble mask.
5.5 Change of patient
1. Dismantle mask.
2. Wash mask in hot water using a mild
detergent (e.g. washing-up liquid) so
that no residues remain before disin-
fecting or sterilizing.
3. Subject mask to a hygiene treatment
(see table).
4. Use new headgear.
Cycle at 65 °C. Then
carefully rinse off all parts in
clean water.
Hand wash in warm water.
Use a mild detergent. Then
carefully rinse off all parts
with clean water. Allow to
air-dry.
Clean mechanically in dilute
solution, using a brush, for
