5 Scope of Delivery and Accessories

Scope of Delivery

6 Preparation for use

6.1 Preparing the BionicLink

The following steps only need to be carried out during first-time use.
1) Insert the wireless adapter cable plug into the BionicLink.
INFORMATION: The plug does not need to be removed again.
2) Insert the proper side of the hook-and-loop strap into the slots on the back of the BionicLink
(see fig. 1).

6.2 Attaching the BionicLink

1) Open the plug cover on the knee joint.
2) Attach the wireless adapter cable plug to the socket on the joint module (see fig. 4).
INFORMATION: Observe the plug direction.
→ The blue LED on the BionicLink has to light up. If it does not, charge the prosthesis bat­
tery or check the connecting cable.
3) Engage the BionicLink on the knee joint (see fig. 2)
4) Loop the free end of the hook-and-loop strap around the joint module, thread it through the
plastic ring and pull it tight (see fig. 3).
INFORMATION
Apply the BionicLink to the knee joint medially for a fitting on the left side, laterally for a fitting on
the right side.

6.3 Removing the BionicLink

Remove the BionicLink and wireless adapter cable following adjustment.
1. Disconnect the wireless adapter cable from the knee joint (see fig. 4). Do not pull on the
cable, but pull the plug on the plug housing.
2. Reinstall or close the plug cap.

7 Use

1) Launch the adjustment software on the computer (C-Soft version 2.6 or later).
2) Start the connection process in C-Soft.
3) The adjustments can be carried out.
INFORMATION: The prosthesis wearer must stand or sit comfortably and calmly dur­
ing the adjustment.
→ The blue LED on the BionicLink flashes during the data transfer process.
INFORMATION
The range of the Bluetooth® connection is around 10 metres, but this can vary depending on the
local conditions. The prosthesis should not be taken outside of this range while it is connected.
