When attaching thread screws
The following is to be considered when executing drill holes in the
plasticinstrument panel:
– Check before whether sufficient free space for the drill outlet is present.
– Pay attention, that the nuts cannot pull themselves through
the construction when tightening (use possibly larger washers or sheet metal plates).
Drill a hole of Ø 5.5 mm at the points drawn beforehand.
Screw on camera holder with the thread screws M 5 x 20 mm, or longer
thread screws depending upon construction strength.
Necessary parts for the attachment with thread screws see F 9 to F 11.
Execution of the break-through for the connecting cable of the monitor
Observe the information on the cable-laying.
For laying theconnection cables, whenever possible always use existing cable
passageways or other apertures, e.g. the edges of panelling, ventilation grids or
blind switches. If no openings are available, then a hole must be drilled with Ø
13 mm. Check before whether sufficient free space for the drill outlet is present.
Drill a hole of Ø 13 mm nearby the camera (see F 12).
Debur all drill holes which are made in the sheet metal and provide with rust protection.
Provide all sharp-edged openings with a suitable bushing.
Insert the system cable into the bush "C1" (see E 8) and the connecting cable into the
bush "Power" (see E 11) on the rear side of the monitor.
Install the connecting cable and the extension cable below the instrument panel.
Attachment of the monitor in the monitor holder
Only use the screws M 5 x 20 for the assembly of the monitor in the monitor
holder (see F 16). Longer screws damage the monitor.
The sun shield is fastened between the monitor holder and the monitor.
Hold the monitor with the sun shield in the monitor holder and screw in the thread
screws M 5 x 20 mm by hand.
Align the monitor and tighten the thread screws.
Put on the covering caps.
Necessary parts for the attachment of the monitor see F 13 to F 15.
