Operation and technical specification
3.1
Operating the machine
The FLOOR SWEEPER is a professional machine designed to clean
dry industrial floors or asphalted surfaces (warehouses, outdoor and
multi-storey car parks, laboratories in general, service stations, sports
centres, camp sites and holiday villages, hotels, supermarkets,
workshops) with removal of solid material only, such as dust, soil, paper
or similar by means of a brush mounted in the chassis and two external
side brushes which can be activated by the operator as required. The
machine has a large debris collection bin.
The machine consists of the following elements:
Welded folded steel chassis;
•
System of external and internal brushes;
•
Internal combustion or electric motor;
•
Suction system;
•
Particle filter
•
Debris collection bin
•
Operator seat with controls.
•
The FLLOR SWEEPER is available in a battery-powered electric
version and a version with petro engine, shown in the following
figures. FLOOR SWEEPER model ET and STH
.
FLOOR SWEEPER model ET and STH PLUS (semi-automatic
emptying).
In the manual, the sides of the machine will be referred to from the
point of view of the seated operator.
3.2
Conditions of use
The FLOOR SWEEPER has been designed to perform the functions
described in the section of this manual only. The machine must be
used in environments conforming to those described in the section
on admissible environmental values.
3.3
Technical specification of the machine
The weight of the two versions is different depending on the type of
motor fitted, while the external dimensions remain the same.

3.3.2
Power supply and engine power
The internal combustion engine is fuelled by lead free petrol. The
engine drives a suction fan, the brushes by means of a belt and
pulley and the wheels which move the machine forward by means of
a hydraulic transmission system.
IMPORTANT - Do not use petrol/oil mixtures.
Use suitable additives for unleaded fuel to protect the
valves, valve seats, piston rings and cylinder head.
Around 0.5 to 1 ‰ of additive should be mixed with
the fuel, according to the instructions shown on the
additive label.
Warning: starting problems may occur if the machine
is not used for extended periods without additive in
the fuel.
IMPORTANT!
Petrol is highly inflammable;
Store the fuel in suitable containers;
Always fill with fuel in the open air and do not smoke;
Fill with fuel before starting the engine;
Never remove the fuel cap or add fuel while the
engine is in operation or hot;
In the event of petrol leaks, do not attempt to start the
engine. Remove the machine from the area affected
by the leak, avoiding all sources of ignition until the
petrol vapours have dissipated;
Always replace the caps on the tank and petrol
container correctly.
