Battery indicator:
The battery indicator on the display
will decrease as the battery loses
power.

the display, charge or replace the
batteries as soon as possible. When
the battery is too weak, [
[Battery Low] will appear on the
display and the recorder will shut
down.
Notes:
• Turn off the recorder before
replacing the batteries. Removing
the batteries while the recorder is
still in use may cause malfunctions,
file corruption or file loss.
• After replacing the batteries, it may
become necessary to re-set the
battery type and the time and date
if you leave the batteries out of the
recorder for more than 15 minutes
or if you remove the batteries right
after loading it into the recorder.

• When playing a recorded file, the
recorder operation may stop due
to the reduction of the voltage
output of the batteries depending
on the volume level even if [
displayed in the battery indicator. In
this case, lower the volume level of
the recorder.
Charging the batteries
Fully charge the batteries (approx. 3
hours) before use.
Charging the batteries
directly via USB cable
Before connecting the USB cable, exit
the hold mode.
Charging by connecting to a PC
via USB cable:
1 Boot the PC.
2 Connect the USB cable to the USB
port of the PC.

3 While the recorder is in stop mode or
turned off, connect the USB cable to
the USB connector on the bottom of
the recorder.

not charge.
• The recorder cannot be charged
when the PC is not turned on. It
may not also be charged when the
PC is in standby, hibernate, or sleep

capacity of the USB port in your PC.
Use the AC adapter instead.
• Do not charge the recorder through
a USB hub.
• Do not attach or remove the
batteries if the USB cable is
connected.
• Push the USB cable into the USB
connector all the way. Otherwise,
the recorder may not operate
properly.
• Use the included dedicated USB
cable. If any other manufacturer's

cable is used, it may lead to
malfunction of the recorder. Also,
never use this dedicated cable with
any other manufacturer's products.
• Do not set or remove the recorder
to/from the docking station while
operating.
