Normal position
The watch has a screw-in crown. With the crown screwed
in (normal position, position X), the time, date or day of the
week settings cannot be changed inadvertently and the
watch case is doubly protected against the entry of water.
To release, simply turn the crown anticlockwise, which auto-
matically moves it to the winding position 0. Push in the
crown and turn clockwise to screw it back into position X.

Winding the movement
When the crown is in the winding position (0), the auto-
matic movement can be wound by hand. A few turns will
start the movement running, but it is advisable to wind
the movement fully by turning the crown approximately
30 times. The movement is then at its most accurate and
has a power reserve of 44 hours, even if you take your
watch off.
Setting the date and the day of the week
After months with fewer than 31 days, you need to set
the date to the first day of the next month. To do so,
unscrew the crown and pull it out to position 1. Turn the
crown clockwise to set the date and anti-clockwise to
set the day of the week (rapid-advance feature). Please
do not use the rapid advance feature between 8 pm and
2 am because you may damage the mechanism.
