Setting the time
To set the time exact to the second, unscrew the crown
and pull out to position 2 when the seconds hand (3)
reaches the 12 o'clock position. This stops the move-
ment. Now set the seconds hand to the next full minute
and push the crown back into position 0 when the correct
time is reached. When setting the time please ensure
that the date and day displays are also set correctly.
They should advance at midnight. If they advance at
noon, you will need to turn the hands forward 12 hours.
Setting your GST Chrono-Automatic
To set your watch, proceed as follows:
• Release the crown by turning it anticlockwise.
• Wind the movement completely
(approximately 30 turns of the crown).
• Pull the crown out to position 1.
• Turn the crown slowly clockwise. The date display will
advance rapidly. Set yesterday's date.
• Turn the crown slowly anticlockwise. The day-of-the-
week display will advance. Stop when the previous
day appears in the display.
• Pull out the crown to position 2, and the movement
will stop.
• Turn the hands until the date display shows today's
ate. The hands now show a time between 12 midnight
and 1 am.
• Now advance the hands until they show the exact
time. If you set the watch in the afternoon or evening,
you must advance the hands past 12 noon.
• To start the watch again, press the crown back into
position 0.
• Now press the crown into position X and secure it by
turning clockwise.
Important: Although the watch is water-resistant with the
crown in positions 0, 1 and 2, the crown must be screwed
in again (position X) for normal use.
Reading the time in the dark
The dial as well as the hour and minute hands of your
watch have luminous elements which means they can be
read perfectly even in complete darkness.
