Area di immagine su cui l'Auto focus elabora la
Messa a fuoco.
Quando puntate la movie verso il soggetto della vostra
ripresa, il sensore di immagine CCD invia al microprocessore
le informazioni relative ai contorni verticali delle immagini
ricevute. Sulla base di queste informazioni, il microcomputer
stabilisce se il soggetto al centro dell'immagine è a fuoco o no.
Se non lo giudica focalizzato nella maniera ottimale, sposta la
lente di messa a fuoco dalla posizione in cui si trovava,

, muovendola velocemente a piccole salti, fino a che i
contorni verticali del soggetto sono i più sottili possibili
≥Dato che la regolazione automatica della Messa a fuoco si
basa sulle informazioni relative ai contorni verticali delle
figure, quando i soggetti hanno contorni verticali molto sottili
non è possibile una regolazione precisa. (l 108)
≥A differenza dell'occhio umano, l'Auto focus della movie non
è in grado di passare da un soggetto lontano a un soggetto
vicino mettendolo istantaneamente a fuoco.

When you aim the Movie Camera at the subject that you want
to record, the microprocessor determines (based on the
information about the vertical contours in the picture signal
received by the CCD Image Sensor) whether the subject in the
middle of the picture is properly focused. If not optimally
focused, it quickly moves the focusing lens in tiny steps from
the previous focus setting
