Installing a lifting device on the Tracpode head:
Lifting anchor point complying with machinery standard
98/37CEE.
The Tracpode head is equipped with 3 anchor points and has
been tested to safely handle weights of up to 500 Kg max.
The connection to the anchor point must be made using a
connector compliant with the requirements of the machine direc-
tive, consistent with the load applied.
Note : For all loads exceeding 250 Kg, the Tracpode legs
can no longer be used as an anchoring facility. The
user must secure the weight under the Tracpode
head and use the safety strap secured to the three
legs. In all cases, the Tracpode must not be used
with a load exceeding 500 kg.
Material
• Tubes : anodized aluminum..
• Head, pins, fasteners : zinc-plated steel.
• Strap : polypropylene.
• Pulley : aluminum.
Permissible attachments: Fall arrester system (EN 363):
• EN 795 Anchorage.
• An end connector (EN 362).
• Fall arrest system ( EN 353-1/2 – EN 355 – EN 360).
• A fall arrest harness (NF EN 361)
• Rescue lifting devices EN 1496 A or B.
Before use of a fall-arrest system (EN 363), check that each of
the components is usable and operates correctly.
Maintenance and storage
• If the Tracpode is dirty, wash it using clear water.
• If during use or when cleaning, the Tracpode gets wet, allow it
to dry naturally in the shade away from any source of heat.
• Oil the pins regularly.
• Check that the structure is in good condition : aluminum legs,
steel head not deformed, bent, pins not bent or corroded, ball
pin operates correctly.
• The Tracpode must be stored in a location sheltered from wea-
ther and kept at a temperature of between -40°C and +60°C.
• For the accessories, refer to the specific manual for the asso-
ciated parts.

accordance with standard EN 795 B dated 1996,
• is subject to the procedure referred to in Art. 11B of Directive
89/686/EEC, under the control of a notified body: TÜV
Rheinland Product Safety GmbH - Am Grauen Stein D - 51105
Köln, identified under the number 0197.
Marking
The label on each Tracpode indicates :
a: The trade name: Tractel®,
b: The name of the product: eg: LCA (Rope lanyard with shock
absorber),
c: The reference standard followed by the year of application,
d: The product reference: eg: 010642,
e: The EC logo followed by the n° of the Article 11 B notified
body for 0197 production inspection,
f: Year and week of manufacture,
g: The serial number,
h: A pictogram showing that the manual must be read before use,
p: Number of persons : 2 persons maximum
w: Maximum load in accordance with use and standard
