6.2 Unsterile battery removal (Fig. 4)

After the end of the operation, the battery must be removed prior to
cleaning and disinfection and especially before sterilization.
For this purpose, you must simultaneously press the two release
buttons 3 on the closure 2 to enable you to remove it (the closure
cannot be opened if only one release button is activated). This en-
sures that inadvertent opening by pressing only one side is prevent-
ed.
Prior to battery removal, make sure that the trigger for controlling
the oscillation frequency 8 is in the front position (rest position).
CAUTION
Tapping on hard objects damages the machine and also the bat-
tery.
By tapping on the palm of the hand or on a soft surface, the battery
can be removed from the battery shaft.

6.3 Sterile battery removal (Fig. 5)

The changing funnel GA 614 is used for intraoperative battery change
while safely maintaining the sterile conditions. Procedure:
Remove the cover 2 of the machine.
Prior to battery removal, make sure that the trigger for controlling
the oscillation frequency 8 is in the front position (rest position).
Mount the sterile changing funnel 14 on the machine.
Gentle shaking/tapping causes the battery to slide gently into the
changing funnel.
The changing funnel including the flat battery is handed to the un-
sterile person.
The ACCULAN machine is equipped again with a fully charged bat-
tery as described in Section 6.1.
