12. Maintenance

To ensure reliable operation, Aesculap recommends that maintenance
be performed after 300 reprocessing cycles, at least once per year.
For services to this end, please contact an Aesculap/B. Braun
representative in your country, see Technical Service.
Note
The battery compartment of the machine is closed germ-tight and wa-
ter-tight with the closure.
You should therefore regularly check the silicone seal in the closure
and the sealing surface on the handle of the saw. A damaged seal
and/or sealing surface can result in contamination with germs from
the battery shaft.
Replace blunt or damaged saw blades.
CAUTION
Blunt saw blades and poorly maintained or unmaintained machines
can heat up very quickly and may cause burns on skin and tissue!

Carrying out modifications on medical equipment renders the
guarantee, and any licenses, null and void.
