DIAGNOSTIC
Presence of alga caused by the low
level of pure chlorine.
pH in excess of 8.0, faulty filtering,
high degree of total alkalinity.
High concentration levels of pure
chlorine and/or pH of less than 7.0.
High concentration levels of pure
chlorine and/or pH of less than 7.0.
High levels of organic material in
the water.

SOLUTION
Carry out an intensive treatment.
Increase the pure chlorine level up to 2 - 3 ppm
or add a minimum amount of flocculate.
Adjust the pH setting to 7.2 - 7.6.
Filter without interruption for 8 hours.
Sweep the sides and bottom of the pool.
Repeat the intensive treatment until the pro-
blem is solved.
Check the filter.
Adjust the pH setting to 7.2 - 7.6.
Add a minimum amount of flocculate.
Sweep the sides and bottom of the pool.
Filter for quite a few hours.
Change some or all of the water.
Adjust the pH setting to 7.2 - 7.6.
