Pump Sizing and Performance
Pump Sizing and Performance
SubDrive Connect models are capable of driving a smaller pump than the motor horsepower rating
to a similar or better performance than a conventionally matched pump and motor. This has the
effect of extending the performance curve of the
overall system at both low and high flow rates.
See the example at right.
To select the proper pump for your application,
first choose the conventionally matched pump and
motor combination that meets the head and flow
requirements.
Refer to the Franklin Electric AIM Manual.
Then, select an appropriate smaller pump from the
same pump series (flow rating) that works with
your SubDrive Connect model.

The motor and pump sizes must be configured
using DIP switch settings on the SubDrive Connect.
Refer to

MonoDrive Connect models are designed to convert an existing conventional pump system to a
variable speed constant pressure system by simply replacing the 3-wire control box and pressure
switch. Maximum pump output is similar to the performance achieved using a conventional control
box. Therefore, the pump selection criteria are the same as if a control box were used. Refer to the
Franklin Electric AIM Manual and to
