Note : The user shall ensure that an overfill protection device is provided
in the associated equipment sequence, so that it prevents fluid entering
the intermediate tubing.

Security jar (2) : GCE recommends to use GCE "Medicollect" security jar
type or CE marked with requested connection.

Microbiological filter (3) : GCE recommends to use CE marked filter with
requested connection.

Suction tube (4) : GCE recommends to use GCE suction tube or equiva-
lent type (Rubber material – internal diameter 9 mm) .

Collection container (5) : GCE recommends to use GCE "Medicollect"
collection jar type or CE marked other equivalent type with requested
connection.

The installation must conform to the standard EN ISO 10079-3 as amend-
ed.
MediEvac+ shall be used with one or more collection containers during
suction operations. Refer to section 6.1 "Connection & use of inlet (patient
side)" to select the appropriate security and collection container type.
Air leaving the collection container should pass through a microbiologi-
cal filter before entering the suction equipment. Refer to section 6.1 "Con-
nection & use of inlet (patient side)" to select the appropriate filter type.
Before connecting any accessory or medical device to the ejector, always
check that they are fully compatible with the MediEvac+ features & per-
formances.
Before connecting any accessory to the product make sure that the in-
tegrated handwheel is in the OFF position and that the patient is not
connected.
Before connecting any accessory or medical device to the regulator, al-
ways check that they are fully compatible with the MediEvac+ features
& performances (see details of vacuum, flow & user connections in ap-
pendix nr 1 & 2) and they are produced in accordance with directive MDD
93/42/EEC and valid standard EN ISO 10079-3.

pull on/off valve is on off position and that the patient is not connected.
