4. Assembly and installation
Ants LES01 assembly consists of mechanical assembly and electrical installation of the PSU. We
recommend the following sequence for assembly and installation.
4.1 Band installation
4.1.1 Assembly of the rail fastener in the shaft head
Fasten a rail fastener (attachment device) by means of the clamping plates on the elevator rails above
the highest station. The position of the fastener must be selected so that damage due to the Ants
LES01, the cabin or parts thereof is not possible.
The screws must be tightened to a tightening torque of 40 Nm so that the fastener cannot slip.
4.1.2 Attaching the stainless steel band
Connect the attaching device and band by means of carabiners.
4.1.3 Assembly of the rail fastener in the shaft pit
Proceed as follows:
1. Connect the Ants LES01 band, tension spring and securing band with carabiners.
2. Attach the last carabiner on the lower end of the securing band.
3. Now mount the second attachment device on the elevator rail at a distance of 75-105 mm
(deflection 45-75 mm + 30 mm carabiner) from the lower end of the tension spring.
4. Then hang the securing band in the lower attachment device with the carabiner (system closed).
5. Tension the spring and also hang it in the lower carabiner.
6. Ensure that all carabiners are closed and positioned vertically.
7. Then check whether both carabiners are closed, the tension spring is correctly tensioned and the
safety band runs parallel to the tensions spring (see figure).
Please also observe that damage to the fastening due to impact of the cabin or part of the cabin must
be avoided. The distance from the band to the moving parts of the elevator must be at least 50 mm at
all positions.
Correct alignment is essential for the correct function of the device!
A marker indicating the "up" direction is affixed at the end of the band.
Do not remove the band from the carton; allow the band to unroll from
the carton during the downward travel of the elevator.
Ensure the correct lateral alignment of the holes. A mark is provided on
the encoder for orientation purposes.
The upper end of the band is recognisable by the ID sticker. It must not
be removed. Bands without such stickers must not be used.
