Handling the Coolant/Lubricant (C/L)
E N
CAUTION:
Health hazards are possible through improper
handling of C/L!
▷ Use only Ceramill coolant as C/L!
▷ Observe the safety instructions and handling
regulations for Ceramill coolant!

C/L Analysis
For legal and technical reasons, the cool-
ant/lubricant must be analyzed weekly.
▷ Observe country-specific laws and
guidelines on coolant/lubricant!
Regular analysis of the C/L is required for proper
function of the Ceramill Motion 2. The results of
the analyses are to be documented and archived.
▷ Check the following coolant/lubricant proper-
ties weekly:
▪ Concentration
▪ pH-value
▪ Nitrate content
The analyses are to be carried out with test strips.
These test strips are simple to handle and enable
pH-value, the nitrate content and the C/L concen-
tration to be determined.
▷ Remove the blank from the holder.
▷ Mount the splash guard.
▷ Place a clean, flat receptacle in the center of the
interior below the splash guard.
▷ Shut the door.
▷ Push operation button [A] for approx. eight sec-
onds.
After three seconds, the C/L flow is started.
▷ Open the door and remove the receptacle.

▷ Insert the reaction zone of the test strips into
the C/L.
▷ Shake off excess fluid.
▷ After one minute, compare the reaction zone
with the colour scale and read off the measured
value.
The reference values and the information on
measures in case of exceeding or falling below the
reference values can be found on an information
sheet on the inside of the container-access cover
in the Ceramill Coolstream.
The analysis protocol can also be placed in
the self-adhesive transparent folder
located there.
