Coded band orientation and condition
Ensure proper coded band orientation. This is important for the good
operation of the sensor.
• Important: Also pay imperatively attention to the side orientation of
the holes. A marking showing the proper orientation can be found
on the type plate of the sensor.
• Do not remove the type plate at the beginning of the coded band,
which shows the "top end" for the installation orientation of the
coded band.
Coded bands without such label may not be used.
• Make sure during elevator downwards travel that there is no dirt or
foreign bodies on the coded band.
Coded band type plate (392 m)
If you prepare the 392 m coded band yourself, document the respect-
ive length on the follow-up form with a waterproof pen.
On the remaining coded tape, mark the new band start in the appro-
priate direction and the respective length with one of the provided
type plates
Safety assessment of the fastening
Design the fastening of the coded band in compliance with the safety
guidelines of the competent inspection authority. The mounting kits
offered by Kübler comply with these guidelines and meet the require-
ments of the directives mentioned in the declaration of conformity.
Observe the pretension of the coded band
The coded band requires a tension between 100 ...150 N, corres-
ponding to a spring extension of 45 ... 75 mm.
Use a securing element
Use a securing element in parallel with the spring.
This element must have a minimum breaking force of 8.3 kN
