• Disconnect and remove strain relief, and entire cord-and-
plug assembly.
• Seal cap should be installed in the fed-from-behind conductor
opening.
• Proper strain relief is required for conduit connection.
• Wire conductors (copper only) into device (L1, L2 and Ground) from
connected conduit. Using a torque wrench and flat head bit, torque
L1 and L2 lugs to 14.5 lb-in, and ground lug to 25 lb-in.
• Replace barrier plate, securing with two 3/32 inch hex screws. Do
not over tighten.
• Verify seals are seated correctly and are free of debris.
• Replace hinged cover, securing with four Phillips head screws.
• Secure to Mounting Plate, securing with two drywall screws (2 ½
inches or longer).

• Fed-from-Behind, hard-wired installation

• The unit arrives factory-configured for either bottom fed cord-and-
plug installation or fed from behind cord-and-plug installation.
• Remove cord-and-plug assembly
• Open hinged cover by loosening four cover closure screws.
• Remove barrier (two 3/32 inch hex screws).
• Remove the cord-and-plug assembly from the conductor
opening.
