Commissioning

If the restart inhibit has been deactivated, the machine controller or
the LE 20 safety evaluation unit must perform the function of the
restart inhibit.
It is important to remember that the configuration defined for the
application is retained when a device is changed.

Commissioning
6.1
Overview of commissioning steps
Max. 3 sensor pairs in one cascade!
A maximum of 3 sensor pairs can be connected in one cascade.
Although it is possible to connect a 4th sensor pair, the signals from
the 4th sensor will not be processed. No protection is, therefore,
provided.
Exclude the possibility of hazardous motion!
Make sure the hazardous motion in the protected danger area
remains stopped while the light beams are being aligned. The outputs
of the control unit must remain inactive.
First the light beams must be aligned. For this, the device is switched
on while the hazardous motion in the protected danger area remains
stopped.
6.2

Alignment of the light beams

A cascaded system must be aligned in the sequence S1 / R1 - S2 /
R2 - S3 / R3.
How to align the sender and receiver:
1. Connect the power to the photoelectric switches.
2. Slacken the clamping screws holding the photoelectric switch.
