Have the NCPDs been secured correctly and locked in position after alignment
has been completed?
10. Are the required protective measures against electric shock effective
(safety class)?
11. Has the control switch used to reset the (non-contact) protective device
or to restart the machine been installed and mounted in accordance
with the relevant regulations?
12. Have the outputs of the NCPD (OSSD) been connected in accordance
with the required control category and does the connection layout correspond
to that in the circuit diagrams?
13. Has the protective function of the device been checked according
to the testing instructions given in this document?
14. Do the specified protective functions become effective when they are set
at the mode selector switch?
15. Are the switching elements (e.g. contactors, valves), which are actuated
by the non-contact protective device, monitored?
16. Is the non-contact protective device effective for the entire duration
of the hazardous state?
17. Is an initiated hazardous state stopped when the non-contact protective device
is disabled or switched off, when the operating modes are changed over,
or when the system is switched over to a different protective device?
18. Has the sign reminding the operator to carry out the daily inspection been
mounted so that it is clearly visible?
This checklist should not be used as a substitute for initial commissioning
and regular inspection by specialist personnel.
