Indicators [8] and [9] will light on when a current is sent to the LNB, and when
maximum current available is exceeded, respectively. In the latter case, unit
stops voltage supply to the LNB, the lighting indicator remains on and will not
resume its normal operation until the MC-360B is disconnected and connected
again.
WARNING: On applying any aforesaid voltage to the LNB -above all 18 V-

4.2.2 TV Bands

On the TV bands it is possible to power external devices at the same voltages
as for the SAT band with the following special operating conditions.
In order to protect external devices, power from the MC-360B will be cut off in
two special circumstances.
•
When the selectors 5/6 of the SAT band are switched to a TV band whilst
one of the selector 7 voltages is activated.
•
When the unit is switched on with one of the TV bands and a voltage
simultaneously selected.
In this way the power supply is disabled so as to avoid supplying power
accidentally to external devices on the TV bands.
In this mode the power supply can be enabled by pressing once again one of
the voltage selectors 7 in order to confirm the selection. In this case indicator 9 -
DISABLED - will be extinguished.

4.3 Using the MC-360B

4.3.1 Pointing of parabolic aerial

Once both azimuth and elevation angles of the selected satellite are known, a
first pointing of the antenna should be carried out.
Next, connect the LNB to the input connector [1] through the coaxial cable. If
line to the internal unit is set already, connect same to the BNC [2], to power the LNB in
EXT mode [7]. Otherwise, the equipment will supply current by itself, at 12, 15 or 18 V
according to selection.
Next step is to make sure the LNB is power supplied aright. If so, the green LED
(DRAIN) [8] will light.
On the contrary, if the red LED (DISABLED) [9] lights, switch off the equipment
quickly; it means there is a short in the line, that the power supply has been disabled
