Icaro and Icaro Tech - Shoulder straps and
harnesses
The "Frame to back system" (the shoulder
straps are connected directly to the back-
pack) also used for the ICARO and ICARO
TECH stabilizing jackets allow freedom of
movement with no restrictions while diving.
The new reduction system for locking the
shoulder straps (patented) facilitates their
closure with tanks included, reducing it to
one simple movement. All rings are in hard
anodized, lightweight alloy and the padded
shoulder straps with semi-rigid inserts allow
an easy and comfortable fit on the surface,
preventing the shoulder straps from twisting
under any diving conditions.
The waist belt can be adjusted with one sim-
ple locking movement; its closure is guaran-
teed by a quick-release, stainless steel buc-
kle. The gradual adjustment of the shoulder
straps allows their anatomic customization
according to the type of equipment used and
the type of immersion at hand. Finally, the
total lack of plastic buckles (except the ster-
num one, whose closure is however ensured
by the two rings in lightweight alloy at the
extremities) in order to guarantee extra safe-
ty and prevent breaking. Several D-rings in
lightweight alloy make it possible to connect
all types of accessories and technical compo-
nents to the stabilizing jacket.

Icaro and Icaro Tech - Power inflator

The integrated inflation/deflation system is
designed to fit easily into the palm of your
hand and can therefore be activated with very
simple movements. The two control buttons
are differentiated by position, form, and
touch. The convex, lined button to at the end
of the power inflator allows the inflation by
mouth with a special mouthpiece (see illu-
stration number 1) or to dump the air contai-
ned in the stabilizing jacket (see illustration
number 2). The concave button instead
32
allows the gradual intake of air inside the sta-
bilizing jacket (see illustration number 3); a
rapid and firm pressure on the button corre-
sponds to a quick intake.
Both the intake and outlet flows are increased
in order to give optimum buoyancy control.
The internal components are made in nickel-
plated brass and then chromium-plated for
better safety and long-lasting reliability. The
bag connection is guaranteed by a corruga-
ted tube in EPDM which is highly resistant to
saline corrosion. The quality of the materials
used confirms our dedication to proposing
components with cutting edge technological
characteristics.
