2.2. Optional accessories
These units may include the following accessories:

Uninterruptible power supply (UPS)

Analogical and digital input/output cards

WiFi Adapter

Fiber optic Patch-panels
2.2.1. Uninterruptible power supply (UPS)
If installing this accessory, the unit can remain autonomously on for 20 minutes after an interruption in the
auxiliary power supply.
2.2.2. Analogical and digital input/output cards
In order to perform a suitable integration of the plant´s elements, the INGECON EMS Plant Controller contemplates
the option of incorporating extra input/output cards, both digital and analogical.
2.2.3. WiFi Adapter
In installations where the physical entrance to the INGECON EMS Plant Controller cabinet is difficult or not
required, the unit can incorporate a WiFi adapter to communicate remotely with it.
2.2.4. Fiber optic Patch-panels
To properly install the fiber optics between the installation and the INGECON EMS Plant Controller, there are two
optional patch-panels with internal pre-installed triggers to the communications switch.
2.3. EC marking
The CE marking is essential for lawfully selling any product in the European Union. INGECON EMS Plant Controller
units have the EC marking in virtue of the compliance to the following directives:

Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EC.
•
Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2004/108/EC.
•
Low Voltage Electrotechnical Regulation
•
UNE EN 61439-1
2.4. Electrical safety
2.4.1. Overvoltage category (OVC)
The unit has been designed with an overvoltage category II (OVC II) in the alternative current circuit, and the continuous
current circuits with an overvoltage II (OVC II), as established in the IEC 62109-1 and IEC 62109-2 standards.
2.5. Protection class
These units meet the IP65 protection class against external agents.
IP65 means that the unit is completely protected against the entrance of dust and water from any direction as
defined by this protection class standard IEC 60529.
2.6. Contamination class
The unit fully complies with the contamination class 3.
2.7. Acoustic contamination
The INGECON EMS Plant Controller only emits short, loud beeps upon starting up for the first time, since the
elements that manage the communication indicate the communications are established.
Once the system is operating, no more noise is produced.
