Positioning the Booster Seat and Securing Your Child
6 Verify the vehicle seat belt is not
twisted and then fasten across the
child (Fig. C).
7 Route the lap part of the vehicle seat
belt through the SecureGuard clip
(Fig. D).
* The lap part of the vehicle seat belt
should rest low on the child's upper thighs.
8 Remove slack from the vehicle seat
belt.
* Proper positioning is achieved when the
shoulder belt lies across the center of
the child's chest and is positioned at or
above the child's shoulder.

9 Vehicle seat belt is not twisted.
9 Vehicle seat belt is securely fastened.
9 Lap part of the vehicle belt is routed through the SecureGuard clip
and rests low on child's upper thighs.

Detach plastic clips (2 total) from
the backrest (Fig. A).
Detach the elastic loops (4 total)
from the backrest (Fig. A).
Remove the backrest cover.
Detach the plastic retainer clips
(2 total) from the headrest (Fig. B).
Detach elastic loops (6 total) from
the headrest (Fig. B).
Remove the head restraint cover.
Detach the elastic loops (2 total),
and plastic retainer clips (4 total)
from the booster seat base
(Fig. C).
Slide the plastic retainer flap
(1 total) from the front of the
booster seat base (Fig. C).
Remove the booster base cover.
