PREPARATION
Removethe uppercratingmaterialfrom the shippingpallet,and cut
anybandsor tie strapssecuringthe riding mowerto the pallet.

Use the lift handleto raisethedeck to its highestposition.

Fromjust in front of thetwo rear tires,locatethe transmission
bypassrods.Referto Figure1.

Pull one rod towardthe frontof the ridingmoweruntilthe flange
on the rod is forwardof the keyholeslot in theframe assembly.
3.
Lowerthe bypassrod intothe keyholeslot and releaseso the rod
flangeis againstthe frontof the frame bracket.
4.
Repeattheaboveproceduretoengagethe otherbypassrod on
theother sideof the ridingmower.
5.
Withthe bypassrodsengagedand with the aid of an assistant,
carefullypushthe riding moweroff of the shippingpallet.
6.
After movingthe ridingmower,disengageboth bypassrods. Lift
the rod and guidethe flangeof the rod backthroughthe larger
circularopeningof the keyhole,then releasethe rod.
NOTE:The ridingmowerwill not drivewith the bypassrods in the
engageposition.
7.
Removethe deck wash systemnozzleadapterand oil drain tube
fromthe manualbag and storefor future use.

Seat
Toinstallthe seat proceedas follows:
NOTE:Theseatisshippedwiththeseatswitch and seatpanattached.
8.
Cut anystrapssecuringthe seatassemblyand thedrivecontrol
leversto the riding mower.Removeanypackingmaterial.
NOTE: Be carefulnotto cut thewiring harnessconnectingthe seat
and the seat switch.
9.
Removethe two shoulderbolts and lock nuts in the seatpan as
shown in Figure2.

Rotatethe seatintopositionand securetheseatinto placewiththe
previouslyremoved shoulderboltsand lock nuts.Becarefulnottocrimp
or damagethewireharnesswhileinstalling the seat.See Figure3.
