Follow the same procedures as you would for
handling and sewing the bag as mentioned in
the plain sewing section, except for the last
step of cutting the thread.
Once the trailing edge of the bag has passed
the presser foot, the operator should continue
sewing, until the desired tab length is reached.

stopped, the operator lifts the knife handle,
which cuts the tape and thread. (Illustration
16) It takes a little practice to establish the tab
length on the trailing edge of the bag.
