End of operation / Change of cylinder:
1. Close cylinder valve by using the handwheel.
2. Relieve the system till the pointers of the high pressure gauge is at zero.
3. Disconnect the unit from the quick coupler at the end of the hose (if necessary).
4. If required (empty cylinder) the pressure reducing valve can now be removed from the gas
cylinder.
Note:
On pressure-reducing valves with manual tightening connection the tightening nut can only be
released when pressure has been removed completely from the entire fitting.
General operating instructions:
Always protect the pressure-reducing valve against damage and make sure that the connector seals,
sealing surfaces and pressure gauges are always in a serviceable condition.
Make sure that the gas cylinders are always secured and not left standing around unsecured in order
to prevent them falling down and possibly damaging the fittings.
Once the pressure-reducing valve has been connected to a gas cylinder, the cylinder should only be
moved minimally in order to prevent possible damage to the pressure-reducing valve through impact or
the gas cylinder falling over.
If faults occur, e.g. increasing working pressure, defective pressure gauges, leakages, etc., close the
cylinder valve immediately, relieve the pressure in the pressure-reducing valve and then unscrew it
from the cylinder valve.
When not in use, store the pressure reducer in a safe place where it is protected against unauthorized
access, damage and environmental factors.
Disinfection / Cleaning:
Clean the unit regularly. The pressures on the gauges have to be clearly legible at all times.
For disinfection, use preparations from the range of surface disinfecting agents. For material
compatibility reasons, preparations based on the following active agents are suitable
-
Aldehydes
-
Alcohols
-
Quaternary ammonium compounds
Not suitable:
-
Phenols
-
Dehalogenizing compounds
-
Concentrated organic acids
-
Oxygen-separating compounds
The pressure-reducing valve must only be cleaned with wiping disinfection. The user has to care for
adeguate hygiene. In particular the pressures on the gauges have to be clearly legible at all times.
The unit must not be immersed in liquid !
