ANAESTIVAC 1 & 2 –
Switch the Manual/Auto button(s) to manual and switch on turbine A: check the direction of rotation of
turbine A immediately. If it is turning the wrong way, switch it off. Turn the master switch to 0 (Off) to
isolate the station, and invert 2 of the station's supply phases.
Repeat as above on turbine B.
6.1. Setting of the terminal unit flow
Use a terminal unit allowing the adjustment of the flow.
Make sure that the adjustment of the vacuum on the network is stabilized and fixed at its value of normal
operation.
Connect a flowmeter with an adapted coupling to the terminal unit. (see MIL'S accessory : 621182)
Set the expected flow by the adjustable screw.
Block the adjustable screw.
Start again the operation on each terminal unit.
6.2. Testing the vacuum failure alarm
Switch on a turbine.
Create a large leak (e.g. by disconnecting the system) so that the vacuum is below the vacuum fault setting.
On an ANAESTIVAC 2 station: Check that the second turbine operates after 1 minute.
ON ANAESTIVAC 1 and 2 stations: Maintain the leak so that the vacuum stays below the alarm setting. After
2 minutes check that the vacuum failure alarm has gone off.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
IMPORTANT:
For this operation, use all necessary protective measures (gloves, mask, overalls etc.) then
destroy contaminated consumables (antibacterial cartridges, condensates etc.) in according
with that country's applicable laws (regulation incinerator).
Maintenance is to be entrusted to trained and approved personnel by the exploiting, with all
necessary knowledge and acquainted with best practice.
Not to carry out maintenance operations when the device is in use.
If the spare parts used during maintenance operations are not corresponding to the
manufacturers' requirements, the manufacturer declines all responsibility in the event of an
incident.
The modification of the central units is forbidden.
Modification of the device is forbidden without the approval of the manufacturer.
If the central is modified following manufacturer agreement, a control and a suitable test
must be realized to make sure that the central is always safe to use.
To avoid risk of damage or prevent equipment become dangerous is essential use the compatible components
provide by the manufacturer.

Automatic pressure controlled / Automatic vacuum relief valve P.I.D
7.1. Monthly maintenance
7.1.1.
Inspect the turbine visually and clean off dust from the body to maximise the cooling action. Check the noise
emission level while the turbine is turning. Empty the lowest-level drip pots at the exhaust if necessary.
7.1.2.
Check the vacuum level in the network in respect to the instruction pressure value specified in the
automated system.
If necessary, change the filter cartridge of the silencer filter.
7.2. Yearly maintenance
Check that the station is operating properly.
Inspect the condition of the electrical connections.
Fit a new vacuum relief valve filter cartridge.
Check the flow-rate performance levels for the 1 kPa – 50 l/min and the 2 kPa – 25 l/min couplings and, if
necessary, use the vacuum relief valve to adjust the vacuum level.
Inspect the condition of the suction and exhaust hoses.
8.
TRAINING
In order to ensure perfect aptitude in the use of the ANAESTIVAC unit, the MIL'S SAS Company offers its own
training for the use of this equipment. It is intended for users and technical personnel working on or near the
ANAESTIVAC unit.
9.
CLEANING
9.1. Units cleaning
If the units system requires cleaning, use a soap solution and a clean cloth.
Then wipe well with a dry cloth.
For disinfection, use swabs soaked in a disinfectant solution.
Frequency: as required.
9.2. Network cleaning
When cleaning a network with a cleaning solution or disinfectant, we must be vigilant.
The solution mixed with the organic material present in the network, could lead to an extremely rapid and
significant pressure for progress in specific components (jars low point, for example) which can lead to an
explosion of them.
