MEANING OF THE PICTOGRAMS
used in this manual and on machines
Pictograms have been inserted into the manual to make it clearer and to indicate particular points that should
be observed or taken into account, as follows:
Reading symbol: Mandatory: Read the operator instructions
Mandatory: Wear ear protectors
(ISO 7010-M003)
Warning: Low temperature
(ISO 7010 W010)
Warning: Maintenance operations are carried out (read the operator instructions).
Warning symbol: This symbol means that failure to observe this point could lead to injury and
possibly damage to the machine. It serves as a special reminder about regulations and/or the
correct implementation of certain precautions
Warning: High pressure in circuits and parts.
Danger symbol: This symbol represents the DIN 4844 symbol (hazard warning); it warns of a hazard
which could result in death or injury, along with damage to the machine. This symbol must be
observed by all personnel working on this machine. Regulations on safety in the workplace must be
observed.
Warning: Hot or dangerous gas exhaust point
Warning: The unit is remotely controlled and may start running without any warning being given
(ISO 7000-W018).
Warning: risk of electric shock
(ISO 7010-W012).
Biological hazard symbol: This pictogram informs of a risk or a danger, it is necessary to take care
to handle the biological products or waste being able to infect the living organisms by inhalation,
ingestion or cutaneous penetration.
Non-ionizing radiation hazard symbol: This pictogram informs of a risk or a danger related to non-
ionizing radiations.
Prohibition: to remove the protective screen and the safety devices.
Warning: do not touch the hot surfaces (risk of burns).

Environment protection symbol: This pictogram calls to mind the requirement, during
maintenance operations, to sort the waste, store it in a safe place and dispose of it in an
environmentally-responsible manner.
Dustbin on wheels barred of a cross symbol: This symbol indicates that the equipment should
not be thrown with domestic waste and is subject to selective collection.

The removal of any self-adhesive label bearing the above pictograms from the machine is strictly forbidden.
Any label which is damaged or peeling off must be replaced.
1. SAFETY REGULATIONS
Would ask you to read the whole of this notice before commissioning your machine or
carrying out any maintenance work on it. Our guarantee will not cover any damage caused by
an unapproved siting or installation
1.1. Warnings
The machinery described in this notice must not be used if there is any risk that the health of human beings,
animals, plants and the environment may thereby be imperilled or destroyed.
The users and people responsible for servicing the machine must be fully responsible for the following:
 checking that the equipment is correctly installed and that good practice is followed when commissioning
so that it is only used for its intended purpose,
 checking that the use of the equipment complies with regulations and that its operating conditions match
the contractual specifications,
 ensuring compliance with local, regional and national regulations,
 ensuring compliance with the safety, operating and maintenance regulations laid down in this manual,
 ensuring that this manual is available to the staff servicing the equipment and ensuring that the staff
observe the instructions, warnings and regulations set down in the manual.
Should the equipment be sent to the manufacturer for any reason, notification must be made indicating
whether it is free of all substances harmful to health or to the contrary, that it is contaminated. If the
equipment is contaminated, the contaminant and associated dangers must be declared.
