5.1
Locking the rim
5.1.1 Use of the Lifter (if any)
WARNING: IN CASE OF HEAVY WHEELS, USE THE
SUITABLE LIFTER LOCATED ON THE MACHINE
LEFT SIDE
Should the operator need to use it, the machine is
provided with a lifter that brings the wheel or the rim
from the ground to a suitable height to be fi xed on the
machine.
This prevents unnecessary and potentially dangerous
efforts.
Lifter correct use:

• Roll the wheel or the rim until reaching the lifter
board. It is necessary to place the rim LH drop
centre on the machine outer side.
IMPORTANT!

THE RIM DROP CENTRE, WHERE PRESENT, MUST
ALWAYS BE POSITIONED UPWARDS, NEXT TO THE
DEMOUNTING TOOL
(Fig. 5.1-2)
Move up the control pedal of the Lifter (1) by following
the wheel or rim movement with a hand to ensure
stability.
• Once the desired height is reached, release the
pedal.
• Tilt and lay the wheel or the rim on the Wheel
Support Flange.
• Press the Lifter control pedal.
• Release the pedal when the Lifter has reached the
ground.
DO NOT MOUNT AND DEMOUNT THE TYRE WITH
THE LIFTER UP.
