Using the Bead Pusher and Bead
Breaker Disc during demounting
To aid demounting of wheels with particularly rigid or
low profi le tires it is possible to use either the Bead
Pusher or the Bead Breaker Disc, or use both together
(1 and 2, Figure 5.2-13).
The bead pusher holder rod slip-off position can be set
to three different heights.
Figure 5.2-14
• Remove rod slip-off lock stop 1 and adjust the rod
slip-off position as desired.
• Re-insert the stop in the rod lock hole.
By way of example there follows a description of
utilization of the above-cited devices for such tasks.
Demounting the fi rst bead
Figure 5.2-15
The Bead Pusher device allows the bead to be held in
the rim drop center on the side diametrically opposed
to the demount tool.
• Bring the bead pusher device 1 onto the tire in a
position opposite to that of the demount tool.
• Exert a pressure such as to bring the bead to the
height of the rim drop center.
• Lift the fi rst bead on the demount claw.
• Remove the Bead Pusher from the tire.
• Activate clockwise rotation and proceed with
demounting.
