Calibration in air, relative humidity at 100 %
The calibration is carried out in one point. Normally in air saturated with water vapor, with
100% of relative humidity. This can be achieved by introducing the sensor in a vessel with
some distilled water, maintaining the sensor few centimeters far from the water to avoid
wetting the membrane.
Before calibration for the first time, the electrode must be polarized at least 6 h.
To carry out a calibration in air, the sensor must be clean and dry. The small droplets from
the membrane must be eliminated. The electrode should be re-calibrated when:
The sensor, clean and dry, in air gives a reading different from 100% of saturation.
