On-line data sending

MultiMeter 44 always sends the data. The data reception on-line depends if the PC
communication is activated at that moment. The data reception is carried out through
Hyperterminal, standard application of Windows.

Parts common to all messages
STX, <Message>, LF, CR, ETX,
where:
STX: control character "Start text". Hexadecimal value 2.
<Message>: ASCII character string. View as Data
LF: Control character "Line Feed". A hexadecimal value (decimal value 10).
CR: Control character "Carriage Return". A hexadecimal value (decimal value 13).
ETX: control character "End of text". Hexadecimal value 3.
Measuring data
As programmed RS-232 communication "Configure Instrument" the instrument will send
data in two ways:
1. Sending data to PC: Data Format single channel
a. Control character <STX>
b. Index, corresponding to the number of messages sent from the instrument. It
starts with the start up of the instrument.
c. Indicator of measurement data, M.
d. Serial number of the instrument and instrument name, see "Instrument
configuration". If there is not any assigned name, an empty space will appear.
e. Date and hour.
